FAQ

Frequently asked

What is Recallr Catalog?
Recallr is an iPhone and iPad app that organizes your screenshots, saved links, recipes, and trading cards using on-device AI. Point it at your photo library and it sorts the screenshots you already have onto shelves; share anything new from any app and it files that too.
How do I add my first items?
Open Recallr and tap the + button to import from your photo library, or use the iOS share sheet from any app (Safari, Reddit, Messages) and pick Recallr. Add a few items to a shelf by hand and Recallr will start auto-sorting from there.
Does Recallr send my photos to a server?
No. Image analysis runs on your device using Apple's Vision framework. Trading card recognition uses Apple's on-device FoundationModels. The only network requests Recallr makes are to URLs you explicitly share — for example, fetching a recipe page you sent in.
Where is my data stored?
On your device, in Apple's SwiftData. If you have iCloud enabled, your library also syncs to your private CloudKit database, which only you can access. Recallr does not run any servers and cannot read your data.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no Recallr account. Sync uses your existing iCloud account, managed by Apple.
Is Recallr free?
Free to download. Your first sort of the screenshots already on your device is uncapped, and everything it files is yours to keep. After that the free tier gives you 20 more items and three more hands-free sorting sessions. Recallr Pro removes every cap — unlimited shelves and items, plus hands-free sorting for a library of any size — as a monthly or yearly subscription. Current pricing is shown in the App Store and inside the app before you buy.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your device to change or cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Can I use Recallr on iPad?
Yes. Recallr runs on iPhone and iPad. With iCloud sync enabled, your library is the same on both.
I shared a recipe link but the recipe isn't showing up. What now?
Recallr fetches recipe pages in the background. If the page is slow or blocks scraping, processing can take a moment or fail silently. Open the item, tap Edit, and you can re-run extraction. If it still fails, email info@userecallr.com with the URL.
Card recognition got the card wrong. Can I fix it?
Yes. Open the card, tap Edit, and correct the name or set. Your edit sticks and helps you find the card again.
I uninstalled the app. Is my data gone?
Local data on the device is removed when you uninstall. If you had iCloud sync enabled, your library is still in your iCloud account and will return when you reinstall and sign in to the same iCloud. To delete iCloud data, use Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage on your device.
How do I report a bug or request a feature?
Email info@userecallr.com. Include your iOS version, your device model, and a short description of what you expected versus what happened. Screenshots are welcome and stay between us.
